Heavy and thick-walled vase made of solid frosted and partially highly polished glass, designed by Horst Tünselmann for Peill & Putzler Kunstglas, 1960s.
The glass, which is called alexandrite, is given the ability to refract light differently depending on the color (sun/clouds/daylight/artificial light) and viewing angle through the addition of rare earths, creating colors ranging from light blue and light green to pink and purple.
The vase is without any damage and is extremely rare to find in this type of glass, it shows only minor signs of use, but no chips, cracks or flea bites, see pictures.
