Rare and enchanting set of salt and pepper shakers, Italian-made, 1960s. The spherical shape of the glass is very unusual. The upper half is made of ice glass, the lower half of clear glass. The opening is provided with a silver-plated brass closure that is perforated in the shape of a square.
The condition of the glass is excellent with no chips, cracks or scratches. The silver-plated metal parts show signs of polishing and abrasion, and the brass shines through on one shaker (see pictures), but this actually adds to the charm of the object.
