One of two iconic pendant lamps, model “Relemme”, each with a white enamelled, turned aluminium lampshade, designed by Achille Castiglioni for Flos, Italy, 1960s.
One of the most influential designers of the 20th century, Castiglioni was known for his innovative approach to functionality and aesthetics. His designs are characterized by clean lines, practical solutions and a playful interpretation of light.
The umbrella is particularly stable thanks to the rubber rope running around the lower edge.
The lights have no damage, just slight to moderate signs of age. They each have an E27 socket that can be fitted with standard LED bulbs.
They have been cleaned, polished and successfully tested for functionality.
